THE PRIMAL ART PROJECT : ARTISTS

It's Primal Attitudes goal to share with you the amazing talent that we encounter on our travels around the world. Having been to almost every convention across Canada and with the US and China in our sights, the talent we've seen is unbelievable and what we imagine we'll see I'm sure will continue to amaze us.

We have selected Tattoo Artists from around the world to bring you limited edition art prints and canvas's; creating The Primal Art Project.

We've also endorsed bands that completely rock the stage and the crowd. Bringing you rocking music you'll love to play over and over again (See The Primal Music Page).

The more we encounter, the more we grow........just as it was intended, and the more we find, the more we'll share.

Thanks for joining the journey with us, and please share our stories with your friends.

PRIMAL ART PROJECT ARTIST: EDDIE PARSLEY

GHOST TOWN TATTOOS, CALGARY, ALBERTA CANADA

I'm originally from Newfoundland. I've been drawing and painting as far back as I can recall. Growing up drawing tattoos out of magazines and album covers. After high school I got sidetracked for little while working in oil refineries and moved out west. Here I worked and started an apprenticeship. I made the leap from refinery to artist full-time moving back to Halifax Nova Scotia to finish my apprenticeship and start tattooing full-time. Two years later I moved back out west and I've been here for about five years now, tattooing full-time and I'm loving it. Besides tattooing I love to draw and paint and right now I'm using markers for my artwork and am doing lots of work in that medium . I find it really works for me to do lots of art outside of my tattoo projects and keeps me driving to get better every time. With the support of my beautiful wife and kids everything seems to be just coming along great in my career.

PRIMAL ART PROJECT ARTIST: JASON STIEVA

SINFUL INFLICTIONS, WHITBY, ONTARIO CANADA

The artist/owner of Sinful Inflictions began his journey as a third grade art student at Grand Ave. Elementary School. Jason Stieva was born on September 29th, 1972. In 1994 Jay made his way East to begin his professional tattooing career. Sinful Inflictions began as a small tattoo shop near the four corners of downtown Whitby. Jay's hard work and determination spawned a presence that would forever draw souls into his lair.

Today, this award winning tattoo artist works by appointment only so that he can sit with each of his clients and help them transfer their ideas into breathing works of art. This process assures people that they are receiving one of a kind designs uniquely created for them.

When not working in his studio, Jay takes refuge in private pilgrimages to Europe. He travels with only his backpack, imagination and sense of adventure. He usually feeds his adventurous appetite with skydiving, white-water rafting, snowboarding and running with the bulls in Spain.

Just as Jay lives without limits, he creates art without limitations. When asked, Jay credits many people for the success of his career. Jay would especially like to thank Gary Barber and Mike Austin for opening the door to the vast world of tattooing, while his lifelong friends offer their support.

Over the last twenty years, Jay has tattooed all kinds of people from all walks of life. Jay's ability to create tattoos without boundaries is the reason all of his clients keep coming back for more.

PRIMAL ART PROJECT ARTIST: JASON ANGST

ARTISAN: TATTOO, COFFEE, GALLERY. PITTSBURGH PA, USA

My name is Jason Angst. Art is all I’ve wanted and all I’ve known for a long time. From drawing covers for punk rock 45’s when I was fifteen to the first time I picked up a tattoo machine when I was eighteen. That was fifteen years ago. Now. Tattoo is my everything and it has pushed me into the visual arts world. Oil, watercolor, graphite, charcoal, to photo arrangements. I’ve taken on all of it to push my tattooing farther than I thought possible.

PRIMAL ART PROJECT ARTIST: SAMANTHA STOREY

CAPITAL TATTOOS, EDMONTON, ALBERTA CANADA

Sam has been drawing from a young age and always knew she would have a career in the industry. After going to university for fine arts, she was at a loss at what to do. With a love for alternative culture and needing to be able to express herself on a day-to-day basis, this was something most jobs definitely do not encourage. After getting a tattoo done from one of her drawings and having the artist encourage her to start tattooing, it seemed she had found the obvious solution.

Sam has been happily drawing, designing and tattooing for clients since, and now work out of Capital Tattoos in Edmonton, AB. When Sam is not drawing (which is usually daily for a minimum of 4 hours), she spends as much time as possible with her horses, swimming outdoors, skateboarding, hiking with her dogs, going to concerts, and reading.
